Stolen Wages Settlement
Update 8, 29 May 2020
Welcome to our eighth Stolen Wages Settlement email update to claimants (workers under the Stolen Wages practices) and registered representatives (for deceased claimants).
No information, no payment
Thank you to everyone that has provided us with the information and documents to support their claim. A lot of people, however, have not.
- 2,002 people have not provided us with a postal address
- 3,272 people have not provided us with their bank account details
- 9,009 people have not provided us with an acceptable identification document (acceptable ID is listed at www.stolenwages.com.au)
- 1,164 claimant records do not have a complete date of birth recorded.
The information and documents required from each person were set out in the claim statement sent to every registered claimant and registered representative in April 2020.
Closing date for information and supporting documents: 5.00pm on Friday, 28 August 2020.
By the closing date, claimants and registered representatives will have had more than seven months to provide their information and documents to the Stolen Wages Information Centre. If all required information and documents are not received by the closing date, a claim will not receive a payment. If posting documents, please allow sufficient time for Australia Post to deliver to the Stolen Wages Information Centre before the closing date.
Our website - www.stolenwages.com.au - is the place to go to for accurate and up to date information.
