Stolen Wages Settlement
Update 12, 24 July 2020
Welcome to our twelfth Stolen Wages Settlement email update to claimants (workers under the Stolen Wages practices) and registered representatives (for deceased claimants).
Time is running out
There are only 35 days left to submit all the information and identity verification (photo ID) required to support a registered claim under the Stolen Wages Settlement Distribution Scheme. The deadline is 5.00pm, 28 August 2020.
6,538 people have still not provided us with an acceptable identity verification document (acceptable ID is listed at stolenwages.com.au) or bank account details.
If you provided an identification document (photo ID) to Bottoms English Lawyers you will still need to provide a current photo ID to the Stolen Wages Information Centre in order to verify your claim.
If you know of someone that has registered for the Stolen Wages Settlement, please make sure they know of the 28 August 2020 deadline.
As Queensland communities re-open from the Coronavirus restrictions we are once again visiting communities when we are able to, and when it is safe to do so. Our Yarrabah and Brisbane offices have re-opened and we have already visited Townsville, Cherbourg and Woorabinda.
The dates and locations of our community visits are available on the
contact us page
