Hear the latest on the Early Stage Innovation Company (ESIC) tax concessions at a boardroom breakfast with Andrew Simpson, Regional Director and ESIC leader of the Australian Taxation Office (ATO).
ESIC tax concessions apply to shareholders who invest in innovative, early-stage companies. Although the concessions directly benefit investors, early stage companies have shown particular interest in the operation of these provisions and their eligibility as an ESIC as it provides them with a competitive advantage in attracting (much needed) capital.
Andrew will share as his views on the success of the provisions and his experiences in reviewing Private Ruling applications since the concessions were announced on 1 July 2016.
Facilitated by Mark Trewhella, Director, Grant Thornton.
